Training News November 2006 |
November 5, 2006:
As the weather gets colder, I've shifted training to mostly swimming (along with running with Chase). I have been putting in about 10,000 to 12,000 yards a week at the pool, nothing huge, but it's a start. With that said, the donation site is now up and running so please, spread the word. I am proud to say that the first donation was from Brian Defrancesco. So thanks dude.
You can donate through paypal on the site or send a check to the ALS association in St. Louis. All baked goods or other delicious treats can be sent directly to my apartment.

I hope everyone had an excellent Turkey Day. I will tell you that swimming after Thanksgiving was pretty terrible, I pretty much sank like a rock. I have bumped up the training for the winter months and I am getting around 25,000 yards a week. On a side note, I found a very cool fortune in a fortune cookie (it was delicious) that I would like to share: "YOU WILL SOON BE CROSSING THE GREAT WATERS." I thought it was pretty cool and I kept it.

The Dean is heading through St. Louis later this week. My plan of attack is to run as far as possible with him and then just call somebody to pick me up, hopefully not have to go directly to the hospital. Swimming is going well and through a few competition swims I am right on track. I hope everyone is having a great holiday.
